AI Agents Deployed in Automated Attack Campaign Against Over 1,200 Websites
A Chinese-speaking criminal operator directed autonomous AI agents to probe and break into company websites with minimal human involvement, targeting more than 1,200 sites. A security researcher was able to observe the campaign after the operators left their control infrastructure exposed publicly online.
