Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is reportedly weighing an annual software fee of approximately $2,000 per GPU for enterprise software designed to run AI agents on what the company calls AI factories, according to Tom's Hardware.

The potential pricing model has attracted attention partly because of the scale of revenue it could unlock. According to Tom's Hardware, selling five million licenses at that rate would generate around $10 billion per year for Nvidia.

The fee would apply to software rather than hardware, marking a continued push by Nvidia to build out a recurring-revenue business on top of its dominant position in AI accelerator chips.

As noted in a discussion on Reddit, Nvidia already charges more than twice the proposed $2,000 figure for its existing AI Enterprise software platform, suggesting the company has established precedent for significant annual software fees in the enterprise market.

Both the final pricing and any launch timeline remain unconfirmed, according to Tom's Hardware. Nvidia has been expanding its portfolio of AI software and security tools aimed at enterprise customers, and the reported agent-focused fee would represent a further extension of that strategy.
